By accessing and using PracticalPDF (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
PracticalPDF provides browser-based PDF tools. The Service is designed to process files locally in your web browser rather than by uploading documents to an application server for processing.
This hosted fork is offered under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0). The corresponding source code for this deployment is publicly available at github.com/MrFreePress/PracticalPDF.
Rebranding, theming, or other modifications do not remove the AGPL obligations that apply to this software. If you host a modified version for users over a network, you are responsible for providing the corresponding source code for your hosted version.
You are responsible for the files you process with the Service. You agree not to use the Service for unlawful activity, including:
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation, and we do not guarantee that every conversion or transformation will be lossless or suitable for every use case.
You remain responsible for keeping backups of original files before running destructive or irreversible PDF operations.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operators of this Service are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Because the Service is offered free of charge, total liability for all claims related to the Service will not exceed zero dollars ($0.00).
Some advanced features may rely on optional third-party components, including AGPL-licensed runtime tools such as PyMuPDF, Ghostscript, and CoherentPDF. Those components remain subject to their own license terms. See the Licensing page for more detail.
These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective means you accept the revised Terms.
For questions about these Terms, AGPL compliance, or source-code availability, use the public repository: github.com/MrFreePress/PracticalPDF.
